It's awesome to see God stirring the hearts of men. Last Friday, May 23rd of '08, 17 men from across the region gathered in Greensboro for five hours to share their hearts and to pray. Men with a couple things in common. 1-At some point in each journey, God crashed the party and let "Mr. Nice Church Guy" know that a battle was on and we were in it. A battle that requires strength and courage. A battle that requires dependence on the grace of God and a heart to follow the Wild Goose. (J. Eldredge explains, "The early Celtic Christians called the Holy Spirit "the wild goose." And the reason why is they knew that you cannot tame him. But if you follow his haunting call, he'll take you on an adventure.") 2-To a man, we agreed we are "compelled." To see men connect with God and connect with each other.

Freedom in Christ Ministries), Bands of Brothers are forming. Friday's meeting brought together men from areas including D.C.,
Charlottesville, Richmond, Roanoke, Raleigh, Durham, Greensboro, Charlotte, Shelby...and
Bakersville (not for from Spruce Pine in the NC
mtns).
There's a battle going on and we believe we are called to fight together. Stay tuned.
